Self-help author James Arthur Ray, convicted of negligent homicide, has been sentenced to three, two-year prison sentences to run concurrently and ordered to pay restitution of more than $57,000.

Three people succumbed to extreme heat of an Arizona sweat lodge ceremony led by Ray in 2009.

Former senior AUM Shinrikyo member Tomomasa Nakagawa, who was sentenced to death in district and high court rulings over crimes including the group's deadly sarin gas attacks, has written three poems describing his feelings.

They were released by his lawyer before the Supreme Court dismissed his appeal on Nov. 18.
