Program Managers Needed in Africa

The Sahel region of sub-Saharan Africa spans nearly 9,000 miles from the Atlantic coast in the west to the Red Sea in the east.

It is also the place in Africa where Islam and Christianity meet.

Several high-priority countries for Bible translation are in this Sahel region. Right now we are recruiting for Program Managers to give leadership to our teams and to work closely with our national partners in Chad and South Sudan.

Together, Chad and South Sudan have 1.2 million people, speaking more than 50 languages, without any Scripture.

As we increase our staffing in these strategic locations, we are in need of a Program Manager to lead our efforts in this area.

Posted by religion world Monday, April 21, 2014 0 comments

Nukumanu Language in Papua New Guinea – New Testament completed.

Papua New Guinea: Bible Translators have completed the New Testament in the Nukumanu language, a community on Tasman Island north of Bougainville. The village celebrated the launching of their New Testament on February 4. This milestone was reached after more than ten years of hard work in the translation process.

The Nukumanu people number over 700 and live on Tasman Island in Papua New Guinea.  Not be confused with Tasmania south of Australia.
