Proverbs 3:5,6 (NKJV) At one of our revivals the guest minister said, "If you pray, don't worry. If you worry don't pray." In other words, once you pray to God and give Him all your worries and concerns, let it go and let God begin to deal with your worries. But, if you pray and keep on worrying, God will not hear your prayer because you are not trusting, believing and knowing without a doubt that God will truly keep His word and take care of it. So, as I was not able to go with Phil to the hospital out of town, I knew the only thing I could do was PRAY and place him in the hands of the Almighty God. When I got home and before I even spoke to the children, I went to our room, got down on my knees and poured my heart out to the Lord. I did not stop praying until I felt the peace of God come over me. Trust me, when you wait on the Lord long enough, you will feel that peace which surpasses all understanding. The key is to WAIT. TRUST. OBEY. I felt in my spirit that everything would be all right and that I had the strength and right frame of mine to tell the children about their father. As I was talking with them, our youngest son said, "Mommy, let's pray for daddy now!" We joined hands and said a prayer. After the prayer they all said, "daddy will be all right Mommy." My eyes just filled with tears, not of sorrow but of joy. Phil got to the hospital okay and without incident. He called and said the doctor had scheduled him for surgery the next day. They were going to put a stint in his heart to open up the valve. I told him about the prayer we said for him and what the children had said. I could not see his face, but I could feel he was smiling. We prayed together, I told him I love him and I let him know God had everything, everything under control. After hanging up with Phil, I got a phone call. It was our niece. She said that she just had to call me and to let me know she would not leave Phil's side. She would be right there with him. She said she just had this urge to call and let me know that she would be my eyes and ears since I was not able to be with him. Praise you Lord! She kept her word and called me whenever the doctor or nurse came in. She called me different times during his surgery. She kept me so informed that it felt as if I was right there with him. God is truly amazing!!!!! He came through his surgery just fine and without complications. Thank you Jesus! I could not wait to hear his voice again. I longed to hear my husband's, the love of my life, sweet, sweet voice once again...... Be Blessed! |
