The Utah Attorney General's Office has joined an investigation into allegations that a midwife lied during polygamous sect leader Warren S. Jeffs' 2007 trial when she said medical records used as evidence were original documents.
The A.G.'s Office said Thursday it learned two days ago that Jane Blackmore, a former FLDS member who lives in British Columbia, may have "re-created" records used to corroborate her testimony about medical care Elissa Wall received in 2002 for a miscarriage.
 Eun Tae Lee, a top officer of a nonprofit Christian missionary group has been arrested for allegedly embezzling more than $700,000 from the Northern Virginia group and using it to support a "lavish lifestyle" that included buying a Porsche sport-utility vehicle and renting a second residence, authorities said Friday.
Lee is the chief administrative officer for Seed International Inc.
 Members of a religious group known as Strict 35 will face trial for allegedly trying to lure a 14-year-old girl away from her family.
The pastor and two adult female members of Reidenbach Mennonite Church on Thursday were ordered to stand trial in Lancaster County Court on felony charges of concealing Ramsey from the police and her distraught parents on Dec. 10, 2009.
