Crying so hard my body was shaking. Thoughts of despair racing through my mind. I had to calm down. I had to get a hold of my emotions so I could think clearly. "Father, please help me to calm down. Please clear my mind so that I may hear from you. Father, my Father I need you now more than ever".

I walked to the window and looked out. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, birds were flying without a care in the world. Wait a minute. Birds. Flying. No cares. No worries. Free. Lord, you are telling me something aren't you. YES!!! He was telling me not to worry. Matthew 6:26 came quickly into my mind, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"  God takes care of the birds. They do not have to worry about a thing. Why then am I worrying? God has already taken care of everything!

I still had the fear though. I have to let go of this fear before it overtakes my spirit. Think Valerie. Think. Concentrate on Jesus. Did He not heal the sick? Did He not help the lame to walk? Did He not cure diseases? Did He not help the blind to see and the deaf to hear? Did He not raise the dead? Didn't He Valerie? Yes, yes he did!! Didn't God tell me to not be afraid? Remember your favorite scripture on fear. Oh my gosh, I can't think! What is it? What is my favorite fear scripture? Come girl think. Think! Lord help me to think!!!

Where is the Bible? I need a Bible! I searched and searched and there was none to be found. Oh my gosh, what in the world? A waiting room without a Bible! A word popped into my head. CELLPHONE!! I grabbed my cell flipped it open, searched saved messages and low and behold there was my favorite scripture.  Isaiah 41:10, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

"Oh Father, you said for me not to fear and to not be discouraged. You said you will strengthen me and help me. You said you will hold me up with your righteous right hand. Lord, you are a God who always keeps His promises. I am trusting in you. I know he will be okay because you are my strength. Thank you Father. In Jesus name, Amen.

I found myself in the presence of God. I could feel His warmth. I could feel His love. I heard my name being called, "Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Murray". I did not realize my eyes were closed. I opened them and the doctor was there. "Yes" I said. "Your husband came through just fine. We had to place a stint in his heart to open a valve, but he will be all right. In a few moments you can go back and see him".

Tears rolled down my face. "Thank you Lord". 

Hold on.........The storm........... is not over......................................
