Lars Vilks cartoon Islamic extremists -- hate criminals -- have attempted to burn down the house of Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, who sparked controversy by drawing the Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog.

The arson attack comes just days after Vilks was beaten by Muslims while giving a lecture at Uppsala university.
