Islamic militants in Somalia tracked down an underground church leader who had previously escaped a kidnapping attempt and killed him last week, Christian sources said.

Abdi's death adds to a growing number of Christians murdered by Islamic militants, but his was distinctive in that he was not a convert from Islam. An orphan, Abdi was raised as a Christian.

Karnataka – once a symbol of India's economic progress and of freedom – has now become a hub of right-wing Hindu extremism, according to the Evangelical Fellowship of India.

Christian investigators say Christian persecution increased after the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) became Karnataka's main ruling party in 2008.

Five members or associates of an alleged neo-Nazi, white supremacist group known as the Connecticut White Wolves have been indicted by a federal grand jury, accused of conspiring to sell guns and homemade hand grenades to what they thought was a similar group out of state.

The Anti-Defamation League says that in recent years, the White Wolves have become a potentially dangerous group.

Abdelaziz Aouragh is a Muslim, lives in Amsterdam, and deals in sex articles. His website, El Asira, calls itself "the first Islamic online webshop for sex articles and care products".

"I knew that Muslims do have a need for sex products. People bring them back from the Middle East and give them to young couples," he said.
