Taliban Threatens To Kill More Christians

Taliban, a hate group masquerading as a religious movement In a letter sent to the Christian community in the northeastern city of Sargodha, Taliban militants said Christians should convert to Islam, pay an Islamic tax imposed on religious minorities, known as 'Jizya tax', or leave the country.

If Christians refuse to accept these choices, Christians "will be killed, their property and homes will be burnt to ashes and their women treated as sex slaves," said the letter.

'Abusive rabbi' Elior Chen to be extradited to Israel

Elior Chen Chen is wanted in Israel for his involvement in a sadistic cult thought to have committed numerous counts of child abuse.

Chen, a self-styled rabbi, allegedly influenced members of his flock to abuse their children in order to "correct their corrupt souls."

According to an indictment, the rabbi instructed one mother to conduct "tikkunim" on her children – "meaning, jolting, beating, tying, burning organs, feeding them with faeces, and more.

Islamic militants in Somalia ban bras

Islamic hate groups bans bras A hardline Islamist group in Somalia is publicly whipping women for wearing bras they say violate Islam by constituting a "deception", it was claimed yesterday.

Gunmen from al Shabaab have been rounding up any women with a "firm bust" and whipping them, say residents in the capital Mogadishu.

One woman said: "They first introduced a hard fabric which stands stiffly on women's chests. They are now saying breasts should be firm naturally, or just flat."

The group has also banned movies, football, musical ringtones and dancing at weddings.

The group's hardline interpretation of Islamic law has shocked many Somalis, who are traditionally moderate Muslims.

Sweat lodge deaths cast negative spotlight on guru James Arthur Ray

James Arthur Ray James Arthur Ray has become a self-help superstar by packaging his charismatic personality and selling wealth. Those who first attend his free seminars hear a motivational mantra that promises that they can achieve what he calls "Harmonic Wealth" — on a financial, mental, physical spiritual level.

He uses free seminars to recruit people to his expensive seminars, starting with $4,000 three-day "Quantum Leap" workshops and moving on to the weeklong $5,300 "Practical Mysticism" events and the $9,000-plus "Spiritual Warrior" retreats like the one that led to the sweat lodge tragedy.

Hospital: Woman in Elizabeth Smart kidnapping case competent for trial

Wanda Barzee A state court judge said Friday the Utah State Hospital has determined that the woman charged in the 2002 kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart is competent for trial.

The hospital's finding — provided in a report three days ago to Judge Judith Atherton — was announced in Salt Lake City's 3rd District Court. It could mean the case of Wanda Eileen Barzee is headed toward trial, although Atherton first must rule Barzee competent.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet, leader of sect that predicted nuclear Armageddon dies at 70

Elizabeth Clare Prophet Elizabeth Clare Prophet, the spiritual leader of the Church Universal and Triumphant, which gained notoriety in the late 1980s for its followers' elaborate preparations for nuclear Armageddon, has died.
